Cyclical menouria syndrome following mid trimester abortion: A case repor

Abstract


IntroductionPassage of menstrual blood only in the urine, due tosupra-isthmic uterovesical fistula is called menouria.1 Uterovesical fistulas belongs to the least commontypes of urogenital fistulas. They are mostly causedby repeated caesarean sections, which are increasing,and their complications can be expected to increase aswell.2   other causes include singular reports ondilatation and curettage for induced or incompleteabortion, forceps use, and other causes. Here by wereport a case of type1 vesico uterine fistula developingafter induced abortion which is rare and themanagement protocol is discussed with specific simplediagnostic modalities, and definite surgical approach.
